Ammon Man Arrested for DUI following vehicle vs motorcycle crash Friday

Police Make Drug Arrests
Idaho Falls, ID – The Idaho Falls Police Department arrested multiple people for drugs in four
separate incidents this weekend.
Idaho Falls Police arrested 24‐year‐old Ruben H. Perez for felony possession of a controlled
substance following a traffic stop Saturday evening.
Perez of Idaho Falls was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail for two outstanding
misdemeanor warrants, failure to purchase a driver’s license, failure to provide insurance,
possession of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to reports, police stopped a Mazda pickup, driven by Perez, at Calkins and 15th Street
around 8 p.m. During the stop, it was found Perez had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants out
of Idaho Falls and Bonneville County. While being placed under arrest he was found in possession
of Acetaminophen, Oxycodone Hydrochloride and Marijuana.
Police arrested 52‐year‐old Leah M. King for felony possession of a controlled substance and a
county warrant Saturday night. King of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
Officers contacted King in the 2400 block of South Yellowstone Avenue around 9:30 p.m. King had
an outstanding warrant. While being placed under arrest, she was found in possession of Adderall
and a Marijuana pipe.
Police stopped a white 2001 Toyota Camry, driven by 37‐year‐old Ashton B. Wielang, at Bannock
and Iona streets around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday.
During the stop, Wielang of Vancouver, Wash., was found to have an outstanding warrant out of
Idaho County. While being placed under arrest, she was found in possession of Methamphetamine
and drug paraphernalia.
On Sunday, police arrested 48‐year‐old Todd L. Sheetz for felony possession of a controlled
substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
and driving without privileges following a traffic stop early Sunday morning.
Sheetz of Idaho Falls was stopped by police near Garfield and Northgate Mile around 12:23 a.m.
During the stop, officers found Sheetz to have a suspended license. While being placed under arrest,
Sheetz was found in possession of Methamphetamine, Marijuana and syringes.

Ammon Man Arrested for DUI
Idaho Falls, ID – Idaho Falls Police arrested 18‐year‐old Justin Johnson for driving under the
influence following a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash Friday night.
Johnson of Ammon was also cited for improper left turn.
According to reports, officers responded to Utah and Pancheri for a reported crash just before 5
p.m. Johnson, driving a Kia Optima, turned left onto Utah Avenue to head northbound. Due to the
traffic back up on Utah Avenue, Johnson collided with a motorcycle. The 45‐year‐old Idaho Falls
motorcycle driver and her passenger, a 37‐year‐old Menan woman, were ejected.
Neither women were wearing helmets. Both were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical
Center. There injuries and conditions are unknown.
During the crash investigation, Johnson was found to be under the influence of Marijuana. His
passenger, 19‐year‐old Lain Gladstone of Idaho Falls, was also cited for possession of Marijuana.
