I.F. Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault
Idaho Falls, ID – Idaho Falls Police arrested 31‐year‐old Nicholas D. Wilmot for multiple crimes,
including aggravated assault and discharging a firearm within city limits following an incident
Thursday night.
Wilmot of Idaho Falls was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail for malicious injury to
property, battery on a police officer and violation of a no contact order.
According to reports, officers responded to the 500 block of Tyson for a report of a gunshot around
7 p.m. Wilmot fired a gun inside a bathroom, threatened to shoot himself and then threatened to
shoot a 34‐year‐old woman also at the residence.
The woman fled from the residence. At the time officers arrived, Wilmot’s whereabouts were
unknown and a CodeRed was issued to neighbors in the surrounding area. Around 7:45 p.m.,
