Officers from PPD along with the fire department and Idaho Falls Bomb Squad responded to a call near the intersection of Cottage and Philbin for items reported to possibly be old explosives. After taking all necessary precautions, the items were determined not to be explosives and the scene was opened back up. We thank the community and neighborhood in the affected area for their patience and cooperative spirit during the resolution of this investigation.
